My guess would be that the box is there, but the two time coordinates (x axis) are the same. Try drawing a rectangle on your chart, but make the time the same for both coordinates. The rectangle is there, but it has no "width".

Sounds familiar - the suggestion that since someone has not posted screenshots and indicators, that they are not putting forth an effort. I can assure you I will not post beta versions of indicators for this method. I will share the results of my ...

Regarding backtest: - Despite several requests, the parameters/indicators/logic used for the "1000 wins 0 losses" backtest were never provided. - Judging by the trades taken, no long-term (or near-term) trend was used to filter trades - The 100% win ...

"Here how it works: Trix crossing down, smi red below white, brick closes below 10,3,3" When a renko brick closes and the above 3 conditions are met, about 70% of the time another 10-pip renko brick forms in the "good" direction. This was tested ...

Thanks for your reply Q. This brings up an interesting point about the current/recent candlesticks. A couple weeks ago candlestick patterns was a concept that seemed to be picking up steam for confirmation but then fizzled out. Long candles, ...

Well, that's the point! According to post #1, I provided all the necessary information to take the trade, mechanically speaking. But, as you have just demonstrated by your answer, there is much more to taking entries than just the mechanics. I ...

I wish you continued success with your trading. The hostility in your responses to me is noted. I will leave you to continue trading this system 100% mechanically.

4xStar - Thank you very much for your answer. You are obviously a 100% mechanical trader, not using any discretion. For you, the TRIX changes color, the MA changes color, the DXTrade info points in the right direction and BOOM you go for it. That is ...

Post #1 is very helpful to highlight the mechanical part of Edgetrader's plan. As has been stated numerous times, there is a discretionary part to the entries. It is this discretionary part I would like to discuss. I think newcomers and "seasoned ...

I can't imagine why anyone would test outside of the recommended C4 hours. Well, I guess we can officially (and finally) close the backtest issue. Everyone is on their own...I can live with that.

Firstly, I really don't want your respect. Secondly, I'm just a guy looking for clarification of the extensive backtesting of the plans presented here. Is that really so bad? Having said that, I also must say Edgetrader is a saint! He has provided a ...

Could you share with the thread these backtest results for the plans as currently defined in post #1? Was MT4 used for the backtests? If not, did the indicators used for C4 backtests have the exact same parameters as in MT4 - TRIX (2,1,1,1) ...

David, You have to be very careful trying to backtest like this, especially with Renko bricks. Most of the "regular" indicators will not provide accurate data for previous bricks. You need to customize the indicators for these purposes. If you only ...

Can there really be an entry on brick #1 when the HMA has not changed color yet? The HMA is based upon the low price of the brick. In this case, the low is also the close. At the close of brick #1, the HMA is still green (and could never have ...

Are you saying that you might remove TRIX and go with just the HMA color change for C4? Could you also explain why the need to continue to tweak the primer and detonator settings? No disrespect intended here, just curious about why these changes are ...

The suggested HMA uses the low price of the bricks. With the wicks involved it changes the HMA a little. Two options : use Close (or open) price for the HMA or change the HMA code accordingly. The HMA tends to signal direction changes a little ...

That's why I never bought this thing. I really hope no one is using this for live trading. I have not seen the source code, but I would guess that each time you reboot the script (close/reopen MT4 or stop/restart the Renko script), it uses M1 data ...

I'm with you man! Post #1 seems to be for the Edge 101 course. Some here are already in the Edge 102 course. Others, like Gleneagles, may very well be up to 103 or 104. I think you just used the term "Nitro transitional phase" (or something like ...
