DanUK replied Jul 16, 2010NY open in 40 mins... let's hope those boys push price up!! My target is 1.3039 - but I am a bit concerned about 1.3000 getting in the way. Anyone else have any thoughts about this or is it better to set and forget!?!

DanUK replied Jul 16, 2010Google "forex hours" there are some nice sites out there that will give you a coloured chart and you can adjust the timezone so you will know exactly when to trade. Cheers.

DanUK replied Jul 16, 2010Dael, Caillou and BabeFX - thanks for your comments. I have only just started trading this on my intraday account (which I keep separate to my main account) so a bit of testing shouldn't hurt too much! I think I'll go for 1% risk and see how it ...

DanUK replied Jul 16, 2010I don't know to be honest. I've never really subscribed to the theory that brokers manipulate prices but I certainly could be wrong. I know people do hunt stops but I am not very well versed in it so I couldn't really say! Perhaps someone with more ...

DanUK replied Jul 16, 2010Hi Fourx, I know you directed this at Tony but I thought I would help if I can... the answer to your first question is no. Entry is in the direction of the first 5 second candle at open. If it is up you go long if it is down you short. The second ...

DanUK replied Jul 16, 2010Hi guys, I am pretty new to this trading method but it seems to warrant some serious attention. I do have a couple of questions if I may... 1. What % do you initially risk? I normally put 2% on the table... which I did this morning and now my ...

DanUK replied Jul 16, 2010Good stuff mate, you seem to be picking it up well! With regards to that particular bar - to be honest I wouldn't have traded that. When looking for a pullback like that, I want to see more space first... price should move up and away and then curve ...

DanUK replied Jul 16, 2010Hi, You don't need the volume stuff if you are not comfortable with it. I would recommend having a read now and then as it is an extra tool but you can trade this way perfectly well just using candle patterns and pivots/psych levels. Regards, Dan

DanUK replied Jul 15, 2010Hi jdl, I'm not a regular poster on this thread but I do follow along as it's full of quality stuff! In my experience things like this seem better the closer they are to GMT. I've found in particular GMT based pivots seem to work better. However, I ...

DanUK replied Jul 14, 2010Hi, I tend only to use it for intraday stuff - I think Shamus' thread at http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=157629 has a lot of good material and it is where I started to learn about VSA. Unfortunately it suffered a similar fate to this ...
