Looking at the M15, H1, and H4 RSIs would have made a very small difference to the entries. Ok, then the TCF method should probably be updated to add the 3 Timeframe RSIs and the "usual economic news filters".

The attached chart shows M1 for the EURJPY for the past 2 hours or so. The RSI is from H1 with a period of 2. I put vertical lines on the candles where the <30, <20, and <10 RSI levels were breached - where the 3 trades would be taken. If this is ...

I think the jump from 400:1 to 100:1 was not nearly as significant as the jump from 100:1 to 10:1. We shall see...

If they do implement 10:1 leverage, I bet they will add a "grandfather" clause to allow existing accounts to maintain 100:1 leverage.

This seems appropriate. It's always nice when the code (EA) does what the trading method requires!

Well, that would certainly make sense then. However, are any of the OB/OS EAs on this thread taking trades based upon the close of the M15 candle?

Given this explanation, I would expect for you (and Steve's EAs) to wait for the M15 candle to close in a OB or OS condition before triggering trades. By entering immediately (as opposed to at candle close) when the multiple OB/OS conditions are ...

Thanks for the reply. I traded live during Q1 of 2009...did not have a losing month (worst performing month was February, but I did not vote in the poll since I only traded live for 3 months). However, I was not 100% comfortable with the trading ...

Yeah, USDJPY tends to cause trouble with JPY baskets.

Very nice. Most trades were relatively quick to hit TP. However, two trades had drawdown of approx. 29% and 12%. Chances are good that backtesting would reveal even higher DD and possibly a margin call. Is your strategy to simply sit through these ...

My MTF MA indicator does not either....showing a H4 MA on a M15 chart could never show a "smooth line" without some type of data manipulation. The smooth line version (MTF Moving Average.mq4) does interpolation of the intermediate bars (ie, the M15 ...

Have y'all looked at the code for the MTF Moving Average indicator? Are you sure it is doing what you THINK IT IS DOING?

Yeah, not a pretty trade to this point. Quick glance, looks like trading all 7 pairs would have a DD of about 17%, trading EJ and GJ only would have a DD of about 5%.

I would NEVER run a 24/5 robot with no user intervention. Maybe I'm a little more conservative than other retail traders around here. Ok, good stuff scooby-doo. I hope in the future this thread will concentrate on the original EA only.
