You could trade with a smaller position size. I trade 1/4 of my normal size when trading based on 1 hour, which lets me place a SL 4 times larger.

I also want to reiterate that when trading the M3 I still take into account TL's, S&R's and all that other good stuff, including THV rules. The only real difference is I depend less on higher TF's.

I mainly work off of M3 but also check M1 and higher TF's from time to time. However, I will countertrend scalp with the M3 so higher TF don't always matter. Still working it out though.
