what I do is analyze several groups of 20-50 trades, with the different groups spaced out over several months. If all the groups have a good win to lose ratio and a low relative drawdown (under 20%, 15%) then the system is good.

Which ratio to use?

Don't look at forex as a quick way to make some extra bling or you'll jump in months before you're ready and lose a lot instead of making anything.
