Vermillion replied Feb 13, 2015Wait-maybe my values for the variables were wrong. Did i get them right? time elapsed=time elapsed since start of new trading day (...5pm est?) Current range = range between current daily high and low Time remaining = time remaining on trading day ...

Vermillion replied Feb 13, 2015so the formula is (Time Elapsed/current range)/(time remaining/main target distance) ? So the odds of retesting yesterday's lows (182.30) would be..... (960/80)/(480/50) x 100 = 125%? That's a bit weird.

Vermillion replied Feb 13, 2015Ray, what are the odds that the usd/jpy and gbp/jpy fall to their main supports TODAY? (i.e. gbp/jpy falling to around 181, usd/jpy falling to 117.20) Because after another leg down, it's pretty much a 100pip+ freefall from there from what I can see ...

Vermillion replied Feb 13, 2015Agreed. Here's an addendum: when bias sees hesitation at a key support/resistance/fibonacci point, pack up and get ready to reload at a better price. I woke up late and lost early 10 pips in profit because I didn't leave early, but it's better than ...

Vermillion replied Feb 13, 2015Wow. 183 must really be a favorite for volatility. Closed all positions. I'm staying flat for now. Edit: Looks like a bearish ascending triangle. Nevermind. Loaded short at resistance. Pretty tight SL.

Vermillion replied Feb 12, 2015Not longing the GU until we see a retracement. And I'm probably going to short it around 1.545/4 as well. I wonder if anyone is going to long the geppy at this price right now without the intent to scalp.

Vermillion replied Feb 12, 2015It's going to fall. GU's rising a bit too quickly, while the western yen pairs (i.e. usd/jpy) is falling. In terms of relationships, geppy is closer to the usd/jpy than gbp/jpy. Honestly, the pound sterling seems overbought with the over-the-top ...

Vermillion replied Feb 12, 2015Based on the extention of the drop and the amount of "compressed" market tension at 183, I expect to go below the previous support (61.8 retracement at around 182.30) provided this isn't a bear trap. I'd say anything down to 181, the 100% ...

Vermillion replied Feb 12, 2015It's not that hard, true, but it WAS annoying. Over 9 hours of waiting on 183, and in the past three hours, we're tested 183 more than a dozen times, only to keep bouncing back up. So happy the market decided to go somewhere. So very happy.

Vermillion replied Feb 12, 2015Movement to the downside. Instant 50pip drop in the minute chart. Well, that WAS fast , after all.

Vermillion replied Feb 12, 2015Yawn. It looks like geppy really wanted to test lower areas below 183, but it's being held up. It's been nearly 9 hours since we first came back up 183. I might just hit the sack and put a large SL instead.

Vermillion replied Feb 12, 2015Stiff struggle. We keep swapping back and forth between 183. The move from here, wherever it may go, will be big and fast.

Vermillion replied Feb 12, 2015One minute and five minute ichimoku charts seem to offer a surprising degree of information on areas of struggle between bulls and bears. Normally I prefer to take a more long term view, but this is an exception, i guess. image

Vermillion replied Feb 12, 2015You're forgetting that it's 2015. It' the year of Forex surprises, Bank shocks, and high impact world events. Honestly, things haven't been this hectic for me in a long time.

Vermillion replied Feb 12, 2015Just wait and see, I guess. More importantly, we're probably going to rest the 38.2 retracement from yesterday's highs (183) one more time, or somewhere near that anyway. Bulls need to see a bounce from that to 183.40 to get anything going, while ...

Vermillion replied Feb 12, 2015Oh come on. We just barely hit 183.30, and it dropped to 183. I wanted 183.40 to short =/ geppy is looking like it wants to have another bear run....but I have no positions as of yet
