I myself avoid trading divergences when they are against a strong trend. It is possible to succeed, but normally only for small scalps. Just be careful.

I took the same trade but early enough to take 20 pips and get out. I tend to trade more conservatively so this time it paid off. Another strategy is taking partial profit at a psych level, in this case xx50, then stops to BE and wait it out.
