It is, but not a trend line as most people draw them. It does however show when the trend has been broken. Every time frame has it's own trend so this can be used the same way on any time frame.

If price has broken the line there is a good chance that particular wave is over. So look to TP 50% retrace remembering of course it won't come down in a straight line. In this case wave 1 & 2 of the retrace are complete & wave 3 started. Wave 4 ...
