Anyone seen spread on gold? I'm at 50 pip spreads vs dollar. 3 pips vs eur. EDIT: Actually all over the place, 40 pips to 80 pip spreads! Somethings going on.

In my opinion, Italy's old people tend to live with their families. They don't get stuck in a nursing home like here in Britain and perhaps elsewhere in the world. Possibly exaserbating the problem?

To do with dollar shortage and liquidity. Don't sweat. All these rate cuts, banks will be quids in, doubt they will pass it all on to the customers through better rates anyway, leaving plenty of margin for themselves. Dollar always king in a crisis.
