Well I've been told not to close if at all possible. You will lose your margin money AND profit guaranteed. It actually achieves very little. I split trades too, but I'm not so sure it's such a brilliant idea either. I'm still learning .... ...

As a newbie too, I would suggest you wait longer than 20-30 mins before deciding you've made a mistake. Give it time! Maybe!
