I would personally take the more enjoyable way, but that's just me, with no family to support. Take a sabhatical like others have adviced before me and see if you really feel yourself fullfiled as a full time trader. That's the whole point, I guess.

Of course is very useful. If you cannot focus when using demo, because you're mind set is looking at it lyke a child's play, than the problem is you. Demos are vital to know how tools work and to experiment new strategies.

Still using MT4 and honestly don't see reasons to leave my confort zone. regarding Ninjatrader, I've tried and didn't like it. MT4 is the way I go.
