He has changed now. From now on, he is going to make 200% account growth a week. I am very hopeful for him now that he gained my insights on stops.

I have pointed out numerous times previously that stops are but one of several equally valid options to deal with that situation. The argument has been that stops are the only option because the loss is predicted to run for many years, indefinitely, ...

It's wise to abandon a lost argument. I hope in the process you have learnt what a stoploss is, and why persistently engaging in a mathematically losing game is bad for you.

That's my point. It's a guarantee to sell lower than you bought. Just because you chose to sell at a different price doesn't make the stop less of a mathematical guarantee to buy high and sell low.

Then let me say it for you once again so that you can quote me a few posts down: Stops guarantee buying high and selling low. It's at the banks' discretion to decide when or if the guarantee is exercised. An exercised guarantee is not the same as an ...

I don't remember saying stops were guaranteed to fill. I do remember saying stops were guarantees given to banks to buy high and sell low to them. Given the advantageous nature of these guarantees, there is little or no reason for the banks to not ...

You should apply for a job at ff if you like merging threads that much. Posts from different threads are done according to different context. This thread is about stop losses and the resulting buying high and selling low.

No, what I actually said was: don't buy high sell low. Because this was what was guaranteed by stops. But what I said was irrelevant, since you were only here to argue about anything or nothing.

After trading $2 a pip for a year and you still have only $500 in account. Things just don't add up. What makes you think suddenly you are going to turn your $500 into 20k, because you had 4 winners on Friday ?

Yes I see. Trading short term gives you an advantage. Generally, I find, the price will drift towards the stops when there's no particular focus in the market. I imagine you would no longer be in the market when that happens because you would have ...
