Udine, I really like the low exposure time to the market of this system! Since these are both Yen pairs is there any reason you don't trade the Tokyo open, aside from it being late at night for you? I did this morning, and took a quick 5 pips on ...

I'd be more inclined to go back to Ikon rather than use Saxo, but I'm not going to because I simply don't trust them. Saxo's margin requirements aren't that attractive, and from what I have read they are as dodgy as the rest - changing margins when ...

I haven't had any problems doing this for the last few years. Just make sure you choose an auditor / annual reporting company that treats your Forex account as one investment rather than treating each transaction within the account as an investment ...
Buff's SMSF EA

I'm only guessing, but that may be because Protrader seem to be targeting more traditional bank type brokers offering forex, CFDs, stocks, etc (and therefore charging accordingly, while cTrader is just for forex and cheaper broker costs. I think ...
Platform alternatives to Metatrader
- skoda2008 replied Feb 27, 2014
As I see it Protrader 3 has some big advantages compared to cTrader/cAlgo for algo trading; Can compile mq4 build 509 files directly and use dll's (even MT4 can't do that anymore!). Can import tick data from a CSV file (and if there is a limit on ...

Is anyone out there still trading OTC currency options? I recently came across AvaTrade, who are offering the same platform that Alpari US started offering a couple of years ago (The FX Bridge platform). AvaTrade appear to be offering it with 200:1 ...

If you like cTrader, have a look at ProTrader3. It is where cTrader will be in about 5 years, and what MT5 should have been. url
Brokers and MetaTrader License Fees?
- skoda2008 replied Jun 3, 2013
In short, no, and I haven't been able to find a viable alternative - the spreads are just too high at Saxo, PFD, or any of the others I could find. Withdrawals were okay, and the problems from 3 years ago turned out to be a result of the National ...

This is the last I'll say on the matter, but just to clear it up; My EA did exactly the same thing, when connection resumed it kept opening averaging orders but a long way away from where the initial trades were taken. Like I said it wasn't a very ...

In my particular case I traded an EA which I had written, with martingale and no stop loss. It was not very sophisticated in terms of error handling (before I really knew just how unreliable MT4 was). The disconnection in my case was for more than ...

I used to trade EA's using cost averaging methods. I had a similar experience with Go Markets (when they offered good trading conditions) and they refunded every last cent. My advice to ravichandran is to give a shot, you have nothing to lose. Just ...

Refund FX, they called me and were certainly friendly enough, but I haven't been with them a full month yet, so can only assume they will pay up in a timely manner.

I was a happy customer with Go until a few months ago, I went to Vantage but found their execution speeds from my Sydney VPS to be erratic and slow, also their data feed is severely filtered. I wonder what they're up to? For these reasons I moved ...

Mine has around 0.4 pips difference most of the time. Subtract the rebate and you're back to slightly worse than the demo. It appeared to me that they marked up the spread by the rebate amount? Perhaps I will query them on it. Otherwise, yes, they ...

I have been experimenting with Multicharts & Power Trader, and have come to the conclusion that the only way to backtest this system on years worth of tick data is to learn Java/JForex - see you in a couple of years!
