Ocean replied Apr 11, 2008Have a nice weekend ! — Hi all great traders and our guru Jacko! I have 1+ year of experience, not much I know but enough to know that there is no Holy Grail out there. Trading is about having a proper mindset, having a plan and sticking to ...

Ocean replied Apr 11, 2008I think my advice would be to stick with you TSL as an exit. No matter if it's the weekend. Getting out by hand is too much discretionary for me. I think Jacko would agree with me. But the decision is yours. Ocean EDIT: Jacko, glad you answered this ...

Ocean replied Apr 11, 2008It's discretionary decision, the same as with 50 tsl. It's because we see more volatility now. However applying a tsl based on an atr value would be very good strategy. You should backtest what length of atr moving average to apply and what should ...

Ocean replied Apr 11, 2008Thanks Acetrader, I was tempted to take part of my profits but I think sticking to the strategy pays off in the long term so I will stick to my TSL exit. EDIT: Besides it makes my exits less emotional. I am not breaking my brain with coulda, ...

Ocean replied Apr 11, 2008I'm still in at 1.5750 with 100 pip TSL for a possible 1 pip loss. If this is what will happen I think we could see more downside and I'm ready to place my AH order. One pip loss it's still a loss.
Thanks for all of you for very valuable posts. ...Jacko's Forex House of Pleasure and Pain

Ocean replied Apr 2, 2008I don't have problems with letting my profits run but I didn't have faith that in the short term it is the north heading train (my gut feeling could be wrong with this situation). You have right that it is more convenient to risk market money so it ...
