my take: choosing between the 2 hands...I'll go with hand number one. past is the past. but...once in the market...the very recent past should be paid attention to. looking forward to hear from (almost) everyone else

great post! for me "random" means I don't know where price will be at the end of the day. will it go up...or down? for 30pipis or 200 pips? I believe there's structure in the market...if not what are we trying to exploit?

I really though the question was pretty straight forward. there are not hidden motives or questions If the majority of people reply that they use multiple strategies, MAYBE it would mean that I'm behind the learning curse and should keep on learning ...
