I use trailing stops on trades which i know will run a minimum of 1000 -1500 pips. This was a good setup for 300 - 400 pips where i dont use trailing stop i just let the trade run and manually adjust sl.

Ur doin fine. Just one thing, since ur just strating of with this strategy ensure price is below the filter line, less emotion involved. Once you get a grip you wont need any indicators except the macd and rsi.
