Yes, I'm just making a few changes to it and will send out another version asap. I don't want people to think this is an immediate BUY/SELL signal - it simply indicates that some crosses have occurred on certain timeframes and that means you should ...

Yep, nice. I have another 1hr open on the USDCHF as well - both signals at roughly same time.

Where was your stop on that one because I got stopped out at the beginning of the week. Some questions about stops again: 1/ On the 5min charts, the kumo moves very quickly, can we move our stop down with the kumo even though the trade may not be in ...

No, I'm not worried about the risk size or lots to put on - I agree that for trades with larger pip risk, you reduce the lots. What I am asking is whether we take the trade if the difference between where the Ts/Ks cross occurs and the cloud is ...

Yeah that's fine, but what I mean is on some of the longer term charts, we get Ts/Ks crosses maybe hundreds of pips away from the cloud. Now we could enter at the cross but that leaves a lot of pips to risk. I guess the better entry is to wait for a ...

This a sell on the USDCHF 5min chart? Stop above the kumo. image

So far, I have found better success with trade entries where the Ts/Ks cross is close to the cloud. You often get Ts/Ks crosses way above the cloud but whe we enter there, the stop loss is much further away - seems less likely to succeed as price ...

If you have a job, then the only option is longer term trading I think, ie 4hr and daily charts. Get a broker that can send you email or text alerts and then you can action a trade from that either opening up a chart at work for a few mins to check ...

When price is away from the kumo are you using the Ks as the stop plus a buffer? I guess on the M1 charts you could still use the kumo if needed?

- SanMiguel replied Sep 15, 2009
It's not according to the strict rules but on the 5min TF, price crossed the Ks, the Ts crossed the Ks and look at the curve of price on the kumo. I think I would have taken this but maybe at half my normal risk...not sure. I guess the Chinkou was ...

I think I would wait for a cross on the 1 hour, better entry as it is close to the cloud but get some other opinions too...

Loving this, I step away for a few hours and all hell breaks loose on the USDCAD and GBPJPY
I suppose the cross wa sin the cloud on the JPY but the way the price respected the kumo cloud could have meant a possible trade.Ichimoku forever

I closed out as well for +70 - it hit the resistance point from June ane bounced back, may go further but I am away from the computer so don't want to lose those pips.

How come? 4hr trade, shouldn't we hold this long term or are you proposing to take a reentry on lower timeframes later?

Leaving this one to run? USDCHF is coming down now off a bounce from the top kumo - hope it stays that way.

WHat about if the cross is hundreds of pips away from the kumo, could we use the Ks as an alternative stop in those cases on the longer timeframes? The higher percentage trades seem to be crosses near the kumo in which case: Daily, 4hr, 1hr: Use ...

Do you use the KS as the stop on the higher timeframe trades or still the other side of the kumo? Also, if the stop is the other side of the kumo, when do you start trailing by the KS?
