The 80% sales happen so often that I pretty much go with a 2 loss = bust high risk strategy in both eval + live now (pass/payout threshold in 2 wins). So far I'm getting 43% of the accounts through eval and past the 2.6K payout level. From there I ...

100K limit is probably their way of achieving an undisclosed payout limit as we have been discussing.

It depends on the size of your payouts and the size of the prop. several >10K payouts at smaller firms & you will very likely be shown the door. My FTMO & MFF accounts are over 2 years old (well MFF would have been) and I received >7 payouts from ...

Realistically, I think 20-30K would work for FTMO & TFT but it's way too high for firms like e8 or my flash.

when I flew closer to the sun @ higher risk per trade + didn't use a monthly % target, I scaled up @ FTMO, MFF & TFT. I have not scaled again since moving to a target % 11 months ago... the 5%ers has the best scaling plan.

for smaller firms like e8.... I kind of agree with a profit cap, it would make them more sustainable and should limit denied payments. Only problem... does that chase away the degenerate gambler get rich yesterday types that blow challenge after ...

I remember MFF saying that they were actually seeing higher fail rates after moving to unlimited because the flip of coin trades near 30d limit went away. The traders that ran into a lucky trade to get back above breakeven just ended up crashing and ...

Question.... even with unlimited time, do you guys still over risk during evals to get it over with quickly or play the long game where it can take several months to pass. When I was still taking challenges after the change to unlimited, I still ...

He recently posted about his "5/6 million in funding" while selectively showing only a few accounts as proof, and one of them he showed was somehow max funded with 2 400Ks at ACG when their max funding is only 400K. Josh from MFF regularly commented ...

The following is a fair comparison... 50K FX prop = 80%/100% eval phase 1 + 50% eval phase 2 + 10% live = 140/160% on DD to get a $500 payout (1%) 50K Apex = 120% eval + 104% live = 224% on DD to get a $500-$2000 payout (1-4%)

Daily dd also goes up. it's basically +100% DD & +50% DD to pass either way... but as you mentioned it is way more expensive.

I usually stop @ a +5% monthly target risking no more than 5% of 10% total drawdown. @ e8 I would slightly increase my risk so that would be a +7% monthly target risking a max of 7% of 14% total drawdown... It's a pretty interesting option, however ...

Someone has to disrupt the futures prop space. Competition is really the only thing that will force them to respond. FTMO & MFF went unlimited after competitive pressure primarily from MFFX. Topstep changed their entire model after Apex started ...
