Interesting discussion. I use stops like an insurance policy; rarely expect to use/rely on it. I use 25 pips; but will close manually if I assess PA going against me. Losses are usually in 10 - 18 pip region.

I would keep your trading account in your own local currency. If you want to keep funds in a foreign currency, banks can provide the facility. But you want to know (imho) what you earn, will not have any currency risk to it.
