I was shifting the trailing stop manually at about 100 pip interval and that worked fine, but I was there and could watch. So I think a manual set would be good since not every pair would react to the same SL criteria.

From my understanding the stoch will never be in the right position at the pivot fail but will be in one or two bars. In my situation two bars after the pivot fail the stoch was above 20, so I should be going long.
