I'm not sure what "system" you are referring to, but my response to Simihouse was regarding his version from a few posts back. Basic mathematics is at the very core of his system (and can be used to show how it will not turn a profit).

The shape of the hedge monitor would parallel the movement of USDCHF, not EURCHF. I cannot. I do not see how you could possibly get profit from simultaneously buying and selling 1 lot of EC. IMO, your current system cannot be profitable in the long ...

Based on your screenshots, your SSB basket had a net Long position of approximately 0.46 lots USDCHF and your BBS basket had a net Short position of approximately 0.46 lots USDCHF. Didn't you notice that your basket total profit lines perfectly ...

I have a script that uses M1 data for all 23 major pairs my broker offers. The memory "hit" for this script is around 1 GB when my "Max Bars in chart" setting is 500000 (It loads 500000 M1 records x 23 pairs into memory). When I reduce to "Max Bars ...

Bad and/or missing data. I tried again using my MBTrading demo account. Initially, the data was incorrect. So, I waited a few minutes, removed the dashboards from the charts, and re-attached them. Then everything looked ok. Sometimes you need to ...

You are correct. I do not know why it differs from trader101's pairs as defined on page 1 of his thread. The dashboard was made a while ago - might have been an oversight or there may have been a reason for it. Looking at Orest's indicators, he has ...

I love these comments about negative posts not including "proof". That is laughable! There are at least 3 backtest indicators that clearly show the trouble spots of this strategy. The mathematics also clearly shows how a basket can get into drawdown ...

This is actually one of the easier strategies to backtest. With tick data, it is a little challenging. But for regular MT4 timeframes, it is very easy to get a general idea of the basket performance. squalou posted an indicator for this purpose. I ...
