I would take a really simple indicator that has the code provided and then adapt it to how you wish. the MQL4 documentation is really helpful as well, gives good examples.

You are probably right! So far the system has coped with news, but i guess when the news from EUR and CAD both line up the wrong/right way it can potentially sting you or reward you heavily.
