EUR/AUD and EUR/MXN have pared back 100% of yesterday's losses. EUR/JPY is higher. EUR/GBP is higher. What this tells me is that EUR shorts have overpositioned since yesterday. EUR could still grind lower on broad USD strength but on a relative ...

There was large Asian central bank buying yesterday and institutional participants were positioned for a poor NFP and a squeeze above 1.3450 as evidenced by the price action leading up to the number with large retail short accumulation. However, the ...

I think CME and Reuters are comparable and both are slightly bigger than EBS. If you include FXall (including the corporate RFQ platform and Accelor/Lava) in Reuters than Reuters is probably the biggest.

For today, probably, as it has now broken out of where the high-speed numbers traders finished selling and the slower participants started selling (this 1.3405 level). But the order book is still basically blank all the way up to 1.35 and you now ...

Right, we are getting into 23.6% retracement zone here of today's swing move, roughly between 1.3346-1.3357 depending on whether you pick your top. Anyway, I'm done for the day, good luck all

Another perspective -- we've filled in the Larry Summers gap from mid-September.

Don't be greedy, it's moved 2.5 big figures already, and we're not talking about an easing cycle here. It's a 1-time cut with a likely poor headline NFP print tomorrow due to shutdown effects. You could be right, but imho the reward/risk is not there ...

The only thing I would say that the party might not be over is that you still have NFP tomorrow, and with all this good US data people will be scared of a good print tomorrow. However, the shutdown for sure affected October NFP more than Q3 GDP so I ...

I was short down from 1.3487 to 1.3390... now I think looking at order books there's been a full-scale capitulation I think there's a good chance of a counter move from 1.3300 back above 1.3350. Edit: I'm sticking to the target of 1.3360 but I'm ...

Fills were good. I got filled on Interactive Brokers at 1.3487 at 7:45:01. There was actually some whipsaw between 1.3475 and 1.3485 before the final collapse

The historics are that 7:45AM-8:30AM form one wave of price action, then today at 8:30AM we will have US GDP which will probably cause a knee-jerk, then of course the press conference is the main event... the GDP knee-jerk could cause a spike higher ...

I think in general the mini numbers like retail sales, claims, etc. are very poor at causing support/resistance breakouts directly (for US numbers, not to mention the mini-EUR numbers which are usually ignored except now everybody feels compelled to ...

Fundamentally, it's a mess no? A rate cut will be a surprise and the knee-jerk will for sure be lower. A non-rate cut is expected so not much upside reaction probably. However, at 8:30AM there's GDP, that should cause a knee-jerk one way or the ...

Nothing particular, 133.30 is just the current local MA boundary support and there are a number of stops concentrated below it

There are stops both above 1.3550 (offers above 1.3600) and stops below 1.3500 and 1.3450 (light stops/bids below 1.3400). I would expect very few stops to be untouched especially since there will likely not be a rate cut and the press conference ...

Going short EUR/JPY... 133.30. SL 133.80 TP 132.80. Don't think NFP will come out good and don't think TL support in EUR's going to survive the ECB.
