If you use 60M as a trend filter, you are actually trading of a 60M chart although you are looking for entries on 5M chart. 5M chart is there to refine entries and to look for possible reentries if the trend filter is still valid.

You are correct! That is the first trend signal. If you take an entry after that...let say the 5M chart has gone long and you are flat..no position... and the 5M signals another short...30M still confirms..I term that as a reentry.
