Embry1 replied Aug 7, 2017Been a little quiet today, uh oh. Weekly already into profit, that's good. No high impact for me to test today or tomorrow so I've been trying to get the feel for some low impact news. So far it's pretty slow and tough to gauge TP and SL but with ...

Embry1 replied Aug 7, 2017That's a bummer. I assume a live account? Also were you trading any baskets under trade level 5?

Embry1 replied Aug 7, 2017If I'm asleep for the news I'll typically do a smaller than usual SL and a tighter profit lock. For that one being NZD I did a start lock at 50 with a 70% lock and a 10 pip step after that.

Embry1 replied Aug 7, 2017Yeah that one turned out nicely. I was only able to profit lock about 50 pips as well. Trying to test low impact news as well with my other demo for days like today where there isn't any high impact news. So far it is pretty choppy, it seems like ...

Embry1 replied Aug 7, 2017I'm there with you, my DD is about 3500 pips on the monthly. My weekly didn't start at 09:00 GMT like I had planned so I opened it at 12:00 GMT and it's already cracked into profit.

Embry1 replied Aug 4, 2017I know right! Hey I'll take 20,000 pips a month for 1 basket if that means I get more golf time. But yeah it's not very engaging, news trading does add a little spice to the day.

Embry1 replied Aug 4, 2017Seems like 80% of the thread recently has been about this strategy so I see where he's coming from. But I think it's just been like that this week because the other strats have been in DD so maybe people were looking for another way to make some ...

Embry1 replied Aug 4, 2017For large moves like this 30 minutes is a pretty good window to opt out, and in this case it did end on the hour. However with the proper entry the TP would have been hit before 30 minutes which is usually what happens with these kind of moves.

Embry1 replied Aug 4, 2017Good job. That's how today should have gone. Baskets definitely screwed me up today. I just got out of both for an overall 20 pip loss which isn't bad. Definitely should have been a green day. Still a green week for my live account trading ONLY high ...

Embry1 replied Aug 4, 2017Mine too! What in the world is going on. Maybe because of volatility? But that shouldn't have anything to do with the EA.

Embry1 replied Aug 4, 2017Yeah still letting my baskets go, for some reason my baskets did not open on time and it's freaking me out. I had to open the baskets manually about 1 minute after the original 12:31 GMT start time. This is a case where on the initial move you ...

Embry1 replied Aug 4, 2017Yeah definitely set either a lower TP or profit lock for AUD. That one I wasn't going to trade live either way, I never trade AUD live. The moves are too inconsistent during that time of day.

Embry1 replied Aug 3, 2017First test with the 5 minute time frame. Will test low impact news with a 5M TT settings to see if that's viable. AUD was listed as high impact but being outside of my general rules for my high impact news demo I just wanted to test the 5M chart. ...

Embry1 replied Aug 3, 2017Be careful on tokyo session AUD. Remember anything after 13:00 GMT to watch price action. I wont be at the computer unfortunately so I'm not going to trade it live but I will set up my basket for my demo.

Embry1 replied Aug 3, 2017Yeah the MA setting is irrelevant for TT. I just used to post how mine was set up but you can have any figure on the MA setting. I now just post 60 TT and whichever news pairs I'm trading. Filtered means trading only the relevant pairs to the news. ...

Embry1 replied Aug 3, 2017Well here's a good example of "extra money" based on 200 pips a week with a 100 pip SL per basket. Of course this is based on netting 200 pips per week or more, essentially 10% account risk per basket. But if we are able to get this consistent ...

Embry1 replied Aug 3, 2017In my case, I'm awake at 6am central which is 11:00 GMT so I always watch price movement on any news after that time and that's pretty much the criteria. I treat it as just an easier way to manually trade news. I still trade live before that of ...

Embry1 replied Aug 3, 2017I think that's the best thing about this strategy, it allows people to trade live with low risk and potentially grow their account with proper money management and compounding.

Embry1 replied Aug 3, 2017To me it seems like the indicator is working exactly as intended for these short time frames. I don't recall seeing that post but I don't see how there could be an error with the signals. For my strategy the indicator gives signals exactly the way I ...
