It was great to get into a trade like that but it kind of ruins the rest of the night -- there is nothing predictable to trade anymore, all the charts are pretty much "tainted". Even the pairs that had nothing to do with the yen gave off fairly ...

I got massively lucky thanks to the central bank of japan. This is on E/J, 15M. I went short at the hangman circled in red. Then price bounced up off the 10EMA and closed back above the close of the hangman, and also above the 200SMA (not shown on ...

G/U chart from earlier, 15M.. The red circle was my signal to go short. After the red pinbar I entered half my position, and then entered the other half once the price pulled back up to the wick of the pin. The price had been swinging nicely before ...

I think everyone here in Ken's thread is probably really similar -- a group of people that want to learn as much as possible about PA trading. In my opinion the more posts the better, I've learned a ton from this thread.

I think it depends entirely upon your intentions with the trade -- quick scalp or slow developer. Lately I've been watching 20 pairs and it's not uncommon for me to be in 5 or more trades at one time. However, I'll only be in 2 uncovered trades at a ...

Yeah I think everyone is ultimately after some sort of grading system, or at least some way to size up your current trading opportunities and compare them to each other. Personally, I've realized that when I only trade 3 pairs I start "seeing ...

Okay, here's what I was thinking.. an "Entry Cheat Sheet", to help with following a bunch of different pairs. Since the 1H and 4H timeframes move so slowly, a pattern isn't going to emerge out of nowhere. Updating the sheet once or twice per session ...

I was just thinking, it would probably be very helpful to have a daily reference sheet on all the pairs as well. For example, compile a list of all the pairs which have reasonable spreads (5-6 pips or lower), and then have a series of check boxes ...

Hey guys, here's the rough draft of a daily trading sheet I've been working on. It's meant to combine a daily trading log with an "entry checklist" to ensure that there's a confluence before entering trades. Most of it is self-explanatory except the ...

Wow.. I hope someone caught that Yen movement. At this time of day, with no news, I'm guessing it was a central bank.

Yeah, I think that's my problem -- sometimes I get in that "scalper" mentality even for big moves, instead of being patient and looking for confluence. I remember reading a quote from EO one time about a failed 15M signal when he said something like ...

Guys, This one got me today. The E/J had a long run up and then produced the hangman that is circled on the 15M chart. I entered on the open of the next candle with a SL of 20 pips and was stopped out a few candles later. The body of the hangman is ...

I'm waiting for the close on this E/J setup, but that 15M wick is huge.. and on the 1HR the wick hit a trendline, S/R area, and is right on the 62/50EMA EDIT -- good thing I waited for the close; waiting for another signal

Ken, do you like people who are following your style to post their entries/exits in this thread or would you prefer a separate thread so as not to cloud up yours? I just realized I hadn't even asked. Sorry about that.

Closed out G/J at +10 earlier, then missed the big break downward.. I'm not sure I would have gotten in on this one anyway, though -- I don't see any clean entry signals except the 5 o'clock pin after the daily range had been broken on the bottom ...

I might try that.. I trade G/J, E/J, and G/U and I find I do better when trading all 3 then just focusing on 1, because when I just focus on 1 I get sloppy with my entries. I closed that G/U trade for +5.. it was stalling, and unlikely to go ...

Also in this trade long.. G/J is at a very strong S/R line.. Long-term this thing is definitely going to break and go down hard (look at the 4HR chart) but this should be good for another bounce. Risky, but the R:R is worth it.

Might be a little early on this one, but as I type it's looking good.. G/U long from 1.5414, it was coming close to the bottom of the daily range and looked to be forming a higher low (it's lower than the 61.8% fib level.. but its close enough to ...
