Been reading a book called "martin pring on price patterns". It mentions that the greater the speed and extent of the previous move, the more significant a support or resistance zone is likely to be. It gives an example where price approached a ...

Thanks Mike, sorry for all the questions but could you explain what you mean by lack of space? I'm not seeing much traffic so just want to know where I'm seeing the chart wrong.

Hey Mike, Do you like this BUOB on EUR/AUD weekly chart? At a swing low and just about closed above the BRN (1.2500). We've got the retrace, but I'm in two minds. Also a question related to this: The weekly closed just above the BRN but the daily ...

The old timers will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think most people use NY close charts. My broker uses a different time zone but I use a demo trading mt4 feed from a different broker for my charting which has NY close.

No mate, can't say I've ever heard of COT reports, but if it's another bit of confluence then it's good to know it's in favor of GBP long.

Hi mate, well the thing is I'd like to play a retrace, but I'm not sure if that's a great idea since the daily will close below the RN and it might be better to have momentum on side. I'm not much more experienced than you at this type of trading so ...

Have taken full profit on this trade now. Looking for longs on either the GBP/USD or GBP/AUD. Weekly charts are showing nice BUOB's that have closed above previous support and RNs. Will post charts later to get thoughts.

Hi mate, I always risk 0.5% of my account no matter how many pips my stop is (don't yet feel comfortable risking 2%). What I meant is that the stop will be so far away that it messes up the RR ratio of the trade. I like the retrace method but I ...

Question for Mike or anyone else that can answer. I'm still trying to get the hang of these PA bars and was wondering how you play big bars. Here's my example. Now I know this BUOB I've circled is not at a swing low, but it's closed above previous ...

Hey Mike. Okay, so what you're saying is that once price breaks a range, it's better to wait for some kind of confirmation that price will hold above/below it. For example, if price goes up above a range, closes above it, and then pulls back to the ...

Cool, appreciate the thoughts. As it turns out, my broker Oanda offers SGD/CHF instead of CHF/SGD for some reason (I use fxpro mt4 for charting). I have a question about consolidation ranges. Suppose you get PA in the middle of a trading range, is ...
