calculon replied May 14, 2008NorthFinance's online brokerage was spun off to another company called FXPro. They are using 6 digit quotes but their spreads are pretty low and they use MT4 platform. They have pretty low spreads and you can trade with up to 1:500 leverage. Worth ...

calculon replied May 13, 2008This is the same theory that I have. I think that 2 days after a weekend or holiday causes draw-downs when US opens. If trader101 will extend the demo for another week I can test this theory and open the terminal on Sunday night then close it Monday ...

calculon replied May 11, 2008This is why the money I will be putting on the table will be money that would have gone to a vacation or a new flat screen TV. I'm treating the money as if I had already spent it on something. It's as good as gone.

calculon replied May 11, 2008Agreed. My approach lately has been to treat my demo trades as if they were live trades so that I can psychologically prepare myself for live trading. I personally have learned from experience about going into panic mode and closing trades early ...

calculon replied May 10, 2008We will suspend discussion of the details of the commercial version for the time being. For now let's just discuss the demo version and our results.

calculon replied May 9, 2008Our good friend trader101 has been doing parallel testing of the EAs on his live account for at least 3 months now so rest assured that the results of the demo trades and live trading will be very close. I will be also live trading soon and before ...

calculon replied May 9, 2008I don't know about you but I'm usually asleep or I'm doing something else when the EA is making the winning trades. It's possible that a human can enter the trades manually and watch every movement of the charts but I like my bedtime.

calculon replied May 9, 2008The public version of the EA will not trade on the live account. I believe trader101 has a version that he uses on a live account but that's not publicly available today. Stay tuned for updates on how to get the commercial version of the EA that ...

calculon replied May 9, 2008I actually think anywhere in the $3000 - $4000 range would be a good start. More is obviously better if you can afford it. As you can see from my test I only put in $2500.00 and it still made enough gains that next week I will have the recommended ...

calculon replied May 8, 2008I've finally broke even today with FXDD Delight. Open trades are at a positive right now. Hopefully I'll have some small gains at the end of the week. I'm now confident that EA can recover from huge losses fairly quickly so that's quite a relief.

calculon replied May 8, 2008It would be a nice feature. Perhaps write the variables to a file every minute and if the file exists the EA would load it when it starts?
