Good luck mate. I too have followed pretty much the same path, from TD's thread to J16, and have experienced the same problems with spreadbetting on a small account. How do you find IG? I was with Tradefair but the minimum positions size is £1/point ...

Hello, I've been reading this great thread for a while now and now I have a newbie question. At this time of day when quite a lot of FX pairs seem to be driven by the movements of the DOW, do S&R areas still carry the same weight do you think?

I'm new to this idea of a tick charts. In for example the 2000 tick chart, does each bar simply represent how the price moved in the last 2000 fluctuations, with no regard to the time frame over which they occurred? So in a fast moving market your ...

Hey Jarroo, how come you're not using the 6am GMT opening to start your DIBS day?! Have you found 5am to be more reliable?

Thanks Mike, I need to do some research. I can identify these levels but I've never given much thought as to where orders are placed and why price reacts the way it does. Its a long road but its great to meet so many helpful people on the journey!

So its just like another PPZ to watch out for? When I looked at my USDCAD charts I didn't note much action around the 2400 area so didn't have any PPZ lines pencilled in, but I've just gone back and looked at the monthly chart and I can see there ...

Thanks Mike and Jim. Round numbers are not something I've paid attention to before, but I will now - another thing to look for when finding reasons not to enter a trade, or where not to position yourself! So what is it about round numbers that makes ...

There was a nice DIBS setup on EURUSD at about 8am GMT which I took - my first DIBS trade and it was all looking sweet! However I cocked up the trade management a bit and made a number of mistakes - firstly I didn't close half at 1:1, and secondly I ...

nice chart, question though - do you think this was a higher probibility setup than the daily pin bar on the 22nd Oct that failed? That pin looked to be at a 'nicer' level to me, with 50% fib confluence from the down move on the monthly chart. Thanks ...

Hey hipster, I was looking at this too but wasn't very confident in shorting gold right now. How will you trade this now that the second pin bar/inside bar has formed? Do the cluster of bar highs around 910 concern you? Thanks rob

Thanks for your prompt reply Mike. It is indeed at a nice level. If the pin bar breaks long I'll keep an eye on what happens should it reach the high of yesterdays pin bar.

Combing the last two daily bars it looks like one big doji. Should we be concerned by this when considering taking a long position of todays pin bar?
