As I was typing all that out, price has come close to the possible 1.6526 reversal point and dropped. Have posted 30min chart below. Look at the volume-have circled 2 30 min nodules showing high volume. The fact that this was buying volume is shown ...

Great stuff. Funny that you use the 120min chart as well-realised that the 1 hour still gives too much noise while the 4 hour provides nowhere near enough detail so is a happy medium between the two.
Surfing Risk Intraday - Volume Profile and Order flow

Hey risk surfer, Been researching all this for a year along with cumulative delta. Have finally got my head around it and seeing the ebb and flow of the market. And after trawling the internet and reading lots of disparate (but helpful) sources of ...

Hey there, I trade in exactly the same fashion as this and can provide some good advice. 1) Get charts where you can see a 2 hour timeframe. There is still a lot of noise on 1 hr charts. When you have these charts then you will see these impulse ...

Agreed Cat-sounds like one of those zen trading gurus-then drill down to what he's saying and it's actually-ummmm-what?! To summarise, as other people have, candlesticks are effective. But not in isolation. Have to be other factors as well-price and ...
We were fools to believe candlesticks can predict

I have not had the opportunity to read through all the posts on this so apologies. Candlestick shapes are a clue to what price wants to do and where it wants to go. Like anything else, they are just that-a clue. If you look at candlesticks in a ...

Find the clear S/R levels on 1 hr charts and higher (i.e. 4 hours). Understand what support and resistance levels actually mean in terms of who is buying and selling, and whether large institutions are buying to open or to close a position at these ...

No idea r.e. Canadian clients-just call them! Remember is £10k minimum balance. As for MT4 is supposedly good execution with them (or so they say-I don't use it) but if I were you I'd use it for charting and just enter trades manually/using preset ...

Do you seriously expect people to wade through pages of this cr*p in the hope that they might find something helpful. It could have been v informative, now it appears to be a thread filled with the random meandering thoughts of a nutjob. Just ...

Illiquidity meaning a complete lack of volume? Futures volume looks quite high to me-am sure spot fx will be the same so it's not illiquid at all??
Technical Analysis Fallacy

Yeah I figured that out a while ago-I never used to think why Support becomes resistance etc in terms of the market itself! Simply put, peope go short, they're proved wrong, so when the price returns back to where they went short, orders are ...

Hey Cindy, That's exactly what I did-reread it and it chimed better now than it did when I first read it. The bits where he forces you to take 20 trades mechanically are brilliant...

I'm inclined to say it's impossible to advise without knowing (approximately) what your trading edge is. Do you trade with the trend or against it (ie. shorting tops etc). If you're trading with the trend then you really should be more confident ...

Sorry, I forgot to mention that if you're struggling with the mental side of things then the most amazing resource is out there. Buy 'Trading in the Zone' by Mark Douglas. You'll think that he's some kind of witch as he has perfectly mapped out the ...
