[quote=Intrepidpips;9024766] I don't use indicators for entry now, rather use it to help me decide if it supports my decision on a direction to take a trade, exit one or stay out of market. I found using indicators gave me more false entries and ...

Added another long trade with very tight SL (13 pips) just below the last swing low on 5 pip renko. Reasons: 1. Strong up=trend. 2. Price reacted to previously identified zone. Indicators haven't quite turned yet but I'm finding myself increasingly ...

Ok I think I get it. You stay in your trades so long as fundamentals agree and within your personal risk, but if fundamentals or PA starts to tell you something different, you would look to minimise your risk. You're right. Not many people will be ...

No I understood that. What I meant is literally how do you manage your risk if you're away from your desk for instance if your trade has to run over night. As you said you don't use a hard SL, do you use an EA instead?

Hello Davit Really interesting thread you've got here. Thank you for sharing. I do have one question: how do you manage your SL when you're not at your desk? I know you don't have a total pip value, more of a personable 'acceptable' DD %. As a ...

Ok closed final trade for +187. Makes up for yesterday's lack-lustre performance. Price might go further but can't afford to babysit trade anymore. Would expect a retrace to at least the TL, maybe? image

Interesting how we see the same charts, interpret it in different ways and come to similar conclusions! Price has been having trouble going down since yesterday. With the 61% retracement, and two SR zones at 9881 and 9861, I was looking for a ...

I don't use the OVO renko builder so can't speak about it. I use the pimped version (apologies - just checked my expert advisor. I am using the RenkoLiveShart_v600.6!). From earlier posts in this thread, this 'repainting' is a given whenever MT4 is ...

I don't know what you mean by repainting. So long as my chart stays open, it does not repaint. However, closing down MT4 then reopening can cause the charts to look different - which is why learning renko is best done forward testing. (I hope that ...
