What i like to do is take a look at their history, what they have posted in the past; it really shows a lot about the character and you can easily tell whos side they are on.

I guess they want everyone to operate on cash. If it aint one thing (transaction tax) its another (leverage reduction/regulations).

This tax discourages day trading which will end the "trader status". How are you gonna prove to IRS that you deserve that status when you can't make a profitable trade during the day and have to hold it overnight. 5 trades a day keeps auditors away.
