pres, on an intraday (5m/15m/etc..) what do you define as a shakeout. A high volume bar making a lower low but closing on the top? Not really seeing a good definition of a shakeout bar in MTM. Also after a shakeout do you like to see a low vol test ...

oh ok so you are saying price could move back down from where it is and possibly test that trigger line? If so makes sense, thank you for the chart!

nice start to the week for this, would like it to test 75.83 level after it rises above. don't really follow the /dx that much but just some observations.

SOS for the dollar? maybe eh? looks like a squat bar on the weekly as we approach the low from 09...

why do you label that a no selling pressure as apposed to labeling it a NS.....is it because the close is on the low and not more towards the middle like a NS should possibly have?

True True, I guess I was living on the edge this time ha. Position on this one was half normal so I considered it a good risk/reward. Thanks for the input, you are right though, it really should have been invalid.

Here is an example I saw today...the bar with the cursor over it was a NS, not a very in your face one, but a NS. Next we had what looked like a shakeout in a way and the next bar after brought us up to the high of the NS. granted the second bar did ...

Could anyone comment on this....When do you guys feel a NS/ND/test bar is invalidated? Would a test/NS be invalidated if its low is broken on the next bar (usually I would consider it invalidated, but...)? What happens if it is but the next bar ...

took a nice long off a NS on the euro right before the 830 news. Closed half at 1.4421 and let the other ride for a little but closed it once I got into work at 1.4420. Long was triggered at the break of the NS high. Also can anyone comment on if ...

I contantly use no demands for my short entries, but sometimes I see some good entries off of upthrusts, I have heard pres speak of lower volume upthrusts being a more secure place for a short as higher volume there could be some buying hidden, but ...

Nice trade. I'm looking at your volume and comparing it to mine and obviously they are different due to I look at the volume for the euro futures. But lately I've noticed that i'm missing a lot of trigger bars due to my volume being so different at ...

you are saying that you would rather see the ND come back up from below the trigger level and print a ND bar?

also look at this example, I would still consider this valid but just asking the experts. Where my cursor is we have a no supply followed by a bar making a lower low, but the second bar closes above the no supply. Would we still consider this no ...

Also on a 15 min chart wouldn't we consider the bar at 12pm est a no demand bar? and isn't it still valid because the UT closed lower than the close of the no demand bar. That brings me to a question, on tests such as no demands if the next bar ...

I have a question relating to stopping volume. The bar you labeled, you can't really tell its stopping volume until a couple bars later on right? Or can you tell right away when the bar ends? Other than that pres and HG great explanations.

you will always have a point of control. not matter what type of day. It just varies in location.
