They HAVE to float their currency or it won't happen and it is rare to see an economy go straight to number one without at least one decent recession. How they handle that will determine the timing of number one.

So imo NO major currency will be ALLOWED to fail. There are central banks that can make sure of that. There is no benefit to anyone allowing one to fail. Eur gets too low and buyers come in miraculously. Dollar gets too low, more buyers. AUD, CHF, ...

agree. funny on the day the euro tanks, a new Greece story comes out. Haven't even heard a peep about them in a long while. All the PIIGS are still in bad shape. Can't austerity your way to growth. duh huh

Kind of a wierd trading day actually. gbp held up, eur tanked, UC fell but oil fell and AUD fell a bit too. The only thing i could find relevant to all of them together was the 4h200 which acted like amagnet for a lot of them
