corrman replied Oct 12, 2016on my chart it went to 1029 or so but only after dropping to 1015 so I was stopped and slipped and -6, but on smallest possible risk. It was not a good idea since I only based it on the falling USDCAD which is not correlated to anything I know about ...

corrman replied Oct 12, 2016Psych issue today: I am fixated on what has worked for me recently, it's a bias, so I missed what actually did happen today because of my fear of changing what has recently worked, I need to use related market correlations, and the only one I've ...

Anyone Really Into Correlation?

corrman replied Oct 11, 2016The error in this trade was my inflexible attitude to repeat what had worked for me before, but in this situation, with the downhill freight train of GBPUSD, I didn't allow for that to be as much or more influential and a more powerful correlation. ...

corrman replied Oct 11, 2016Shorted USDCAD as oil moved up, but there is no stopping the fall in GPBUSD so that was the dominant correlation that caused my stop out as USDCAD rose on pressure from GU, oil was steady, CAD diverged, it happens.

corrman replied Oct 11, 2016Oil at support pulling back and CAD currently correlated. I'm waiting for a test of the oil low to short USDCAD after it falls from arund 3250, or 3240 if oil begins to survive the low test.

corrman replied Oct 10, 2016here's the error in this trade: slow market because London closed, US & CAD holiday, so correlations here will not be as likely to be typical and there was a strong move and the party is over, so I made a mistake trading in the face of these factors.

corrman replied Oct 10, 2016things sure can change rapidly... so I added size on the pullback as I was approaching stop out area of original entry because oil while falling, didn't follow thru down, so my original reason for entry was still valid. The typical correlation isn't ...

corrman replied Oct 10, 2016I'm short small size USDCAD here but a bit too early 3150 looking for 3140 on first half and 3130 on 2nd half. I need EURUSD to go to 1160 and I need oil to rise, but I'm wrong here oil is falling so I'll be stopping out very soon over 3160.
