Never experienced any platform freezes or disconnections with Hotforex. Maybe because I run MT4 platform from forex VPS and use robot for trading.

Just make sure you have enough money to cover daily swaps. I think there is plenty of choice and it is worth to focus only on regulation as execution and spreads shouldn't matter to you.
