I've got access to CME Globex futures and volume and depth of market can be useful but that's completely different to what is being displayed in the MetaTrader screenshots.

True volume isn't available in the forex market so I don't know what these volume studies you use are actually based on. You could avoid low volume trades by not trading during the twilight zone at the end of the NY session and beginning of the ...

I notice you're using this on AUD/USD. Have you backtested your strategy with TradeStation, MetaTrader or similar? I've had a look at the strategy with EUR/USD and it seemed to perform less well than a simple MACD strategy.

Anyone using a basic MA crossover strategy or range breakout strategy could have caught that move. There may be big boys at work but it's not difficult for little boys to follow them. Come on - 70 pips in 20 minutes at the start of the London ...

Why bother? Like I said it's an issue with YOUR broker. The market didn't gap - your broker just missed some data or something. That sometimes happens with shitty brokers.

Guys don't fight against a move like this. Stops all the way up to 1.9850 and above are being triggered. Ride the move or stay out - don't fight it.

The blood letting continues ... another intraday high. I can see 1.97 by the end of the day and $2 by the end of the year.

There was no gap. It's an issue with your charts or broker.

In what time zone? I see no gaps at all. The forex market tends not to just gap randomly. There's too much liquidity. It usually only happens after news and it doesn't always fill afterwards.

I see no gaps at all in the charts - must just be your dodgy broker.Cable Update (GBPUSD)

There's more upside to come yet. The NY session generally follows the trend established by the London session.

I agree. Think of all the stops lined up above 1.9850. Looks like an ambush of those stops is coming near Christmas just like the EUR/USD 1.2980 stops were ambushed around thanksgiving.

I don't think it's going to go back down. In the next two weeks we might even see the year high taken out by stop hunters. Maybe we'll see $2 after all.

70 pips in 20 minutes - I've never seen a London "V" like that. Looks like weird holiday trading - anything could happen.

Strong move up - thinking about closing my short from 1.98 and forgetting about forex till the New Year. More fun to be had on the stock indices.

Seems like a nice scalping system there. Just to clarify, do you only trade if the ema crosses while MACD is above 0 and RSI is above 50, or would you also trade if there was an ema cross followed by RSI going above 50 and MACD going above 0 i.e. ...
