If you're away from the computer would you trail by anything? With a 4hr trade, trailing by the Ks...it's not going to go very fast and in this instance got me stopped out but I think my buffer was too small for the GJ - I only had a 25pip buffer ...

I took a GBPJPY one as well, cloud exit, bounce from CS resistance. After 40 pips, I started trailing the KS but was stopped out by the spike, which is a bit annoying given where it has moved to now. A larger buffer might have helped me.

When you say cleared resistance do you mean where it bounced off in the cloud? That was one of the reasons I took it but didn't see any close support below either. Can you run flat trendlines or do you always like an angle to it? For example, at ...

Do you concentrate on a few pairs doing this? Seems it would be harder keeping track of all the different moves over mutliple pairs. I guess one problem I could see with the Ks crosses is that sometimes the price will cross the Ks a little bit but ...

I have been having some good successes at kumo trading lately and using lbtrader's trendline breaks. Here is a 4hr GBPCHF trade good for 100 pips: entry when the Ts exits the cloud and price is still close to the kumo, CS crosses down at the same ...

Just a question on S/R as it relates to the chikou span. It's generally accepted in forex that support and resistance is taken as the candle wicks. Of course the body is important but because of the 24hr nature of forex, the close of the candle ...

I'm not sure I understand your question. The lines are drawn automatically when you switch timeframes only showing the Daily, 4hr, and 1hr KS.

I wouldn't be so quick to call that definite support - a lot of it was caused by the news spike today (US NFP report). Price was already moving below that area and the news brought it above so if the trend continues then it will be okay. However, ...

Dudes - I have a pointless question
Is it Chinkou or Chikou - Metatrader says Chinkou with an N and most sites say this as well.Ichimoku forever

Yes, it's funny because in my standard trading I use S/R all the time and I would never have taken that trade
(I sold at support, which is a bad idea, the chinkou was indicating it but I failed to see it). Anyway, I am trying out the longer ...Ichimoku forever

Hi lb On these continuation plays, do you look for a Ts/Ks cross at the same time or are you simply trading the trendline break as it happens? The counter trend trade is fine if you know the pair, but I would find that risky at first. Sorry, what I ...

I closed any open trades on GBPJPY and USDJPY today due to the NFP report. The only one I held open was GBPCHF taken as a cloud exit (candle close) on the 1hr and this was because the last 2 month's of NFP reports did not seem to affect the GBPCHF. ...

If you have a choice of 2 trendlines, as you will during some accelerated moves, I assume you choose the break of the steepest trendline as the point to take profit as that will have been the largest pip move? Maybe this is more of an issue on the ...

The trendline break is your exit signal in conjunction with HA candles? On your 5min entries, what are your requirements for the higher TFs? ie do you only look for price to be below the kumo, or do you require a strong Ts/Ks cross on the 1hr first?

Want to see GBPJPY's NFP price action from last month (GU and UJ cross)? This is over 170pips all in the space of 1hr. Not a good time to be trading even if the trend did continue afterwards: image
