Embry1 replied Aug 17, 2017I must have missed something here, I copied your settings and only 1 pair showed for 23:10 so I didn't open it. Do you have the default MA settings?

Embry1 replied Aug 17, 2017Great share! How long have you been testing this? And what time do you open? The only basket I trade live at the moment is GBP 08:30 GMT filtered news and that has a great success ratio as well. It's in my trade explorer page. For my broker that ...

Embry1 replied Aug 17, 2017I'm not trading monthly on live and I'm a long way away from it. To me monthly baskets remind me of something like a mutual fund in the sense that you'll probably get a return, but you can't scale an account in the same way you can with daily ...

Embry1 replied Aug 17, 2017Well you guys try it if you wish, it's not my cup of tea for news or any other trading. I'd much rather find consistency with low DD which it seems we are on the right track for having multiple ways of accomplishing this.

Embry1 replied Aug 17, 2017If you guys are looking to hedge news why not just create a filtered basket for the news then another basket with the EA set to reverse pairs? Have them start at the same time or even try to time the peak.

Embry1 replied Aug 17, 2017I'll post them every other day or so until the end of the month. Having good results with my weekly basket but it always runs up high on monday so next week I will put a TP for weekly and if it hits it on Monday then we'll call it "The Monday ...

Embry1 replied Aug 17, 2017Why not just enter once at the point where you would exit the losing trade? You would get the same results with less commission/spread.

Embry1 replied Aug 17, 2017If you're using a template maybe try just setting up the chart with his settings. It's 6 baskets of CCFp-diff and CCFp-diff MTF. 10080 TF L2 10080 FF L2 1440 TF L2 1440 FF L2 D1 W1 TF L2 D1 W1 FF L2

Embry1 replied Aug 17, 2017I was trying to calculate to see if the pip count was affected by your combine trade setting, I was referring to the second basket you posted from the PIF template. Honestly if that's not the case then I don't know what to tell you, I would ask the ...

Embry1 replied Aug 17, 2017Nothing wrong with using CCFp, I have two similar baskets set up at the moment and both did exceptionally well. I was just pointing out that it wasn't the original template, I didn't know if it was intentional or not so the results are different. I ...

Embry1 replied Aug 17, 2017Looks like you're using CCFp over strength which is fine, today was good for everything it looks like. Keep testing it, good work.

Embry1 replied Aug 17, 2017Well for one most of my TP and SL are very high for testing. In this case I had profit lock starting at 350 with a 50% stop and 50 pip step and it still managed to run up to 900 pips before coming back to lock. I had my TP set to 1000 pips and it ...

Embry1 replied Aug 17, 2017It's the Embry1 basket with the 4 Strength D1 indicators. 4th pic on the long post with the pictures. Also the best performing baskets were the CCFp D1 which I just created yesterday and both have insanely good R:R as well. One hit my 800 pip TP.

Embry1 replied Aug 17, 2017Let's all take a moment to appreciate this perfect R:R lol. With the amount of pairs it had, 130 pips is probably just a hair over spread. Roughly 1:7 Risk:Reward.

Embry1 replied Aug 17, 2017As you can see, most of these baskets came within 10% of hitting TP then took a 50% or more dive back to profit lock, ouch. But that's why we are testing. It doesn't get any better than this, every single basket was profitable.

Embry1 replied Aug 17, 2017Redemption is so sweet. Actually a lot of these baskets were super low due to profit lock, I'll post the individual baskets shortly, what a day!
