pipmutt replied Jun 11, 2009Please point away all you like (however please see my proviso below, it's near the bottom of this post, in bold, even you can't miss it!), I've replied to every one of your slightly irrelevant error-pointing comments so far, check the thread if you ...

pipmutt replied Jun 11, 2009I think the industry-standard term 'directional bias' is pretty descriptive but what would you prefer it to be called, 'up or down opinion', ''bullish or bearish outlook', 'buy or sell disposition'? I'm interested to know how you would use this ...

pipmutt replied Jun 11, 2009I don't think I mentioned anything about the costs being added to spreads, in fact I've pointed out to you numerous times what I said, even in the text of mine you quoted in your post I said I'm not talking about spread. What I said was "in reality ...

pipmutt replied Jun 10, 2009OMG, this is beyond pathetic now....please read and at least try to understand. If you can't then fine, but at least exercise a bit of restraint, you're making yourself look like a complete arse! Suppressing and smoothing quotes, skewing quotes, ...

pipmutt replied Jun 10, 2009Mornin' Xaron! Not just scalpers, real scalping (as opposed to just short-term trading) has it's own inherent problems for these shops as they often have difficulty hedging risk quick enough so naturally they dissuade scalpers. I think you're right ...

pipmutt replied Jun 10, 2009What 'so called research', I've suggested you do your own research on the subjects if you want to learn about them, would that kill you? You seem to have a fixation about Oanda and their spreads, which bit of "Don't think spread, think quotes" and ...

pipmutt replied Jun 10, 2009In which case I have an advantage over you in that I've had over 6,000 orders executed on Oanda's FX Trade and I can say without hesitation that it is true, so where does that leave us

pipmutt replied Jun 9, 2009I didn't say Oanda have a 5 pip spread on Eur/Usd, what I said was (referring to trading Eur/Usd with shops like Oanda) "in reality you're probably paying something like 0.05% round turn compared to around 0.012% on an ECN, that's exorbitant!". If ...

Yes, and it frequently does, although Oanda's algos are pretty efficient at spotting latency exploiters unfortunately (or fortunately if you've got money with them and want them to remain solvent!), don't forget it's their game. ...OANDA Discussion
