I have done it on the US/JPY where I go long every time it takes a dip. I stop doing that after the large drop and may start doing it again at the next cycle, not the current one where it does look like it may keep rising like before. I do take the ...

Goal: Double account balance every month?!
- nitman replied Jun 10, 2006
I used to not believe that. What is so hard about following a simple plan that work? When it comes to real money, it's hard for me to say oh well that was just $100 loss even tho I know the system will yield more wins than losses.
Why so hard?

if the number is more negative for trade balance, then doesn't that mean a bearish dollar? so it's a good excuse for the euro to recover from today's lost?

it does but I never tried it because my PDA is weak. From previous thread, it was not recommended. But I think the software is more advanced now with great charting features. I will have to try it out soon.
Anybody using PDA software?

I don't see how killing a chief terrorist would help the dollar but isn't it funny that this positive story came out today. I think the unemployment claim has more to do with the bullish dollar. That was the main news I was looking for this morning ...

silly one, don't take anyone's prediction as absolute. You should wait until the morning open before putting a position in based on a forcast. I stop looking for help on forcasting the market a while back and I'm more happy now. Keep going and never ...

you don't need to pay anyone to make test a strategy. Look in the beginner's forum and pick out one of the strategies there. To back test, it just mean looking at historical data to test how well a particular game plan work. Try url 5/13/62 EMA ...

On most days, USD/SGD is active around 5pm. If you can stay up late everynight until 12, then all of the major pairs like EUR/USD and GBP/USD are active around 11pm. On most nights, I just put in a LONG position around 10 for 5-10 pips and it gets ...

Wow diegoeq! You're on live account? That's horrible! I'm having trouble with placing orders on their demo too. Welcome to Oanda ... I like them a lot.

it's not gapped on Oanda but it might as well be during the time the price makes a large jump. I think VT chart update every few seconds, so it misses a lot of the action. I'm not very impress with it so far.

I am in camp 1. I don't like the longer time frame trend where people wait for a retracement. I don't like to hope that the current trend is still going and this retracement will turn around. I follow which ever side the US open is going and try to ...
