eyevoltage replied Oct 1, 2008Following on...... — This is a follow-on from the cable chart above. Another fib trade right after the first one. There are those who say that fibs, pivots etc. don't work, which means that it's all a random sort of thing and any profit ...

eyevoltage replied Oct 1, 2008ChowClown, glad to see you didn't lose out. I read somewhere else in FF that in a 5m chart, if you're not seeing any movement (or very little) within 6 candles of placing the trade, then it's probably best to jump ship. Seems to work pretty well, ...

eyevoltage replied Oct 1, 2008I was in at 1.4142 before the pull-back. A nice drop to the 0.20 psych-line would be just the job now!
Edit: It's sticking like glue to the 34ema at present. Edit: I wasn't happy with it, so jumped ship at -2pips.Psych Levels, Pivots, and Trendlines - Resurrected

eyevoltage replied Oct 1, 2008Basically, yes. In a situation like this one, the red candle didn't signify that there was a break-out in the offing. So I waited to see what the next candle would bring, and for me, it gave confirmation that the break-out was "on".

eyevoltage replied Sep 30, 2008I wish I'd seen this pattern forming..... — What a trade this would have been. A rather steep rising wedge saw price break out through to the downside, and as I type this, it's approaching a 100 pip profit!! Or, rather, it would have been, if ...
