eyevoltage replied Oct 15, 2008Cheers, Islander..... — Many thanks, Islander, for being so helpful. It's always interesting and informative to see how others approach their trading, and you seem to have a good system perfectly nailed, so to speak. I have to agree with your ...

eyevoltage replied Oct 15, 2008Further to the recent cable chart... — Price has retraced again to the FE61.8% level, with a doji closing right on it. If price gets past the 0.50 psych-line and R1, I'll take it.......... Edit: In at 1.7561.... Edit: Looks like I got in too ...

eyevoltage replied Oct 15, 2008A nice fib example.... — This fib opportunity on cable is a nice example of how fib expansions work. The retracement was weak, not quite reaching the 38.2% fib, and when that happens, the theory is that with such a weak retracement, a strong ...

eyevoltage replied Oct 15, 2008Hi Vantage... — Many thanks indeed for the info re the 1m 34ema. No, I rarely look at the 1m chart, preferring to concentrate on 5m or 15m. It was just Islander's remark about "trading the 1m 34ema" that caught my interest. Thanks again, mate.

eyevoltage replied Oct 15, 2008The eur/usd breakout earlier provided this opportunity. Entered at a point just above the high of the previous candle which closed above the psych-line. By the time price had struggled up to the proximity of the Pivot Point, I'd had enough and ...

eyevoltage replied Oct 15, 2008Hi Islander............... — Hello mate. I'm intrigued by your comment re trading off the 1m 34ema. I wonder if you could enlarge on that a little, as I'm guessing you're doing a little scalping whilst waiting for a bigger move? Maybe show us ...

eyevoltage replied Oct 14, 2008Just caught this nice opportunity on eur/usd. A really distinctive Dark Cloud Cover candle right on the 34ema led to an entry just under the low of the green candle preceding the DCC candle. The entry was also just under the 0.20 psych-line, but my ...

eyevoltage replied Oct 14, 2008Hi Folks. — I've been a little busy this last few days, but I've managed to squeeze this one in this morning. I noticed the bullish piercing candle just above the psych-line, with the 34ema supplying a nice additional support line. I entered ...

eyevoltage replied Oct 10, 2008For a change... — Once again, a busy morning, but not trading, unfortunately. I've been watching the screen on and off, and for a change, eur/jpy, seeing as Islander seems to have some success with that pair. I didn't take advantage of this ...

eyevoltage replied Oct 9, 2008Out of curiosity, I just drew a fib from today's low to the latest high, and this is the result. The 76.4% line becomes part of a 3-way confluence, and as you can see, it seems to be providing some stubborn support after that nasty gap.

As you can see, rather than use the FE's, I've added some minus reading on which seem to work just as well. What d'you think?Psych Levels, Pivots, and Trendlines - Resurrected

eyevoltage replied Oct 9, 2008Thank you.... — Many thanks indeed, Islander, for all that valuable info. I've learned something regarding Fib Expansions there. I have to be honest and say that I didn't fully understand the Expansions, but now that you've explained how it ...
