One thing for certain, no one will buy JPY sa "safe haven" currency. As to why people buy Swiss Franc? I dont know. I'd prefer to buy GOLD as safe haven. And to those who bought CHF, tough luck, that money devaluate VERY fast.

IMHO "needing atomic clock" would be an overkill. It is widely rumored that some news wires releases the news a little earlier than the normal broadcasted releases. All in all, just having it active before the release is a personal call.
