Good question I just sat thru the webinair and not sure either. My understanding was that if the trigger bar closes more than 2.4 pips away from the sma then it is not valid. Obviously the close of the trigger is the open of the next bar.

Rwsco I may be wrong but on the 2340 the 2345 bar was more than 2.4 pips away from the sma. On the 1825 a similar thing the 1830 bar on my chart opened at 2.9 away from sma.

I think caution needs to be applied when reading some of the charts especially the yen crosses as really big moves distort small time frame charts like the M5
