It's Nicotina's system and he has never stated a rule for what you're asking. I, personally, would close any open trade at 1800 GMT.

I don't know about the different platforms. I use IBFX and it maintains straight GMT time the year around.

Firefox wouldn't let me paste into it. When I right click my mouse, there was no "paste" available. I also have IE. Let me try that. Thanks

Does your definition of an IB stand as is? Do you need to look at it and see if it needs changing?

I wouldn't know how to drag it. The chart is an interactive java chart on my web browser. Where would I drag from?

According to your post#1, it was neither an IB or a OB. Also how did you take 59 pips when your rules call for a 40 pip (+spread) TP?

Right. I have the code. I'm saying I can't copy and paste it into the probacktest. I have to type it all in.

The "IB" formed at the end of the 1300 GMT bar. Mine didn't qualify because the high was one tick higher than the previous bar.

I managed to get access to IG charts. Is there any way to transfer the code to the probacktester without typing it in? It won't let me copy and paste. Thanks

The following GMT bars make up the time window: 1800 1900 2000 2100 2200 2300 0000 0100 This makes up an 8 hour window. It begins at 1800 and ends the last tick before 0200. The orders are placed as soon as possible after the completion of the 0100 ...

GMT never changes, but England changes it's time in relation to GMT. Right now out time window is 1800-0200 GMT. That is because UK is on GMT. During the Summer our time window is 1700 - 0100 GMT. That is because UK is GMT+1 during the Summer.

Rather than tell you, I'll teach you how to find out. The time frame is ALWAYS 1800 - 0200 London time. Find out when that is and you'll know. That will always work.

When Nicotina first opened the thread, he was reporting 1800-0200 GMT when it was actually 1700-0100. I know for sure this was happening because the quotes he gave fit perfectly with 1700 - 0100. He also would appear here shortly after 0100 and post ...

No the time frame hasn't changed since the last part of October when DST went out. 0900 PST is 1700 GMT. 1000 PST is 1800 GMT.

Do you think it might be a good idea to edit your rules in your first post? Your rules call for an upward slope during the formation of the confirmation candle, not the entrance candle. Going strictly by what you posted in post#1, there would have ...

The first arrow points to the ADX at the time of the IB. The second arrow points to the ADX at the time of the confirmation bar. There is no sign of any upward slope in the ADX.
