traderone replied Sep 25, 2006Thanks Gleneagles for this corroboration of what I suspected. My most successful demos have been on FX D D and of course my live is on I B F X and just a smidgen profitable. Now the chore of setting up a new account. But it might just be worth it!

traderone replied Sep 25, 2006I'm live with V1.0a on M5 charts on four pairs for the last three weeks. I am just about break even (maybe a lttle more than that). Funny thing is that all my demos are making thousands. Hmmmm. I'm thinking of changing to F X D D from IB FX for live ...

traderone replied Sep 25, 2006If you want lots of trades try M1. I feel a little less stressed though when I use the M5 for fewer trades.

traderone replied Sep 21, 2006Why turn off the EA just to flush out the bad trades? You can keep making good trades in the meantime and help out your account equity. There is not a reason to "control" open orders unless the account is underfunded for the lots size used in ...

traderone replied Sep 20, 2006I am running on v1.0a. started with a mini of $2200. Running the four pair at .5 mini lots. (Around 50 cents per lot EurUSD). My settings are conservative, not like v1.0c.

traderone replied Sep 19, 2006FXDD is GMT +3 So the new bars should appear at 5PM Eastern Daylight Time I believe. IBFX for example is on GMT 0 time and the new bars appear at 8 PM EDT. It depends on Broker time.

traderone replied Sep 19, 2006I am trading LIVE on IBFX right now on four pairs. The last two weeks were rocky but I'm now above my starting point. I have not had a margin call at all. I am also now running on M5 charts although I started on M1 originally.

traderone replied Sep 18, 2006Accrete, you've done a great job with all the Firebird resources. Thanks for your help. I've been testing so many versions and settings of Firebird I'm just about crazy now. But I really look forward to a new version of Phoenix. I've got a couple of ...

traderone replied Sep 17, 2006Well, after losing 600 pips the last two weeks on my LIVE account on M1 charts, I am moving my live account to M5 charts today on the 1.0a version. Two pair, EURUSD and USDCHF. I will add USDJPY and USDCAD with smaller lots on M5 same version. I ...

traderone replied Sep 15, 2006Wow Mono. Wonder what I've done wrong. The last two weeks I've lost 12% of my live account mostly on the USDCHF! And you've gained 10%. Hmmmm. Even more to puzzle over.

traderone replied Sep 15, 2006Accrete, these are great questions. I am wondering right now if anybody has traded with MAtype set to 1? I never have, my demos and my live account are all set to 0! I do use a percent of .1 rather than the default .05. Weren't you using a percent ...

traderone replied Sep 15, 2006I found most of the crosses like EURGBP and EURCHF etc. to not be profitable at all . Probably have not found the right settings. So far I think the best five pairs are USDCHF, EURUSD, USDCAD, AUDUSD, and USDJPY, traded on M5 charts on 30-300-30 ...

traderone replied Sep 15, 2006Nope. On M1 charts, my thoughts are to trade only .1 standard lot per $2000 in account balance. Therefore, to trade 3 pair, I should have an account of $6000 minimum. I think with the more conservative M5 charts one could be OK with trading the .1 ...

traderone replied Sep 14, 2006Well let's see. I'm running two pair and have 10 trades open right now on my live mini. What would happen if you had 15 trades open on 3 pair and .2 minilots? A little close for comfort I think. Right now I am thinking of adding more pairs and ...

traderone replied Sep 13, 2006Hi Benq. I have just started using a calculation of .1 standard lots to $2000 of account balance. Or essentially 1 mini lot per $2000. On my live mini account I am trading .5 minilots per $1000 balance. This is using the M1 timeframe. I just think ...
