Can you try one thing: when you save a template for a chart, make sure that chart is NOT being alarmed at that moment because I think when the alarm is activated the properties of the chart (its background) is changed.

That slide show indicator rotates the pairs configured in the options. maybe BDM can rotate CORES, CORE7, AUD, CAD... displaying charts in the group with the current template being used. or just rotate the pairs on the PAIR list displaying charts ...
