The great John Wooden once said, "Never mistake activity for achievement". He was obviously not thinking about Forex Factory when he said that...but, man it sure is appropriate.

Received a message asking how to automatically calculate your broker's GMT offset. Using the windows API to calculate timezones is an option. Here is another option using an internet call to retrieve the current GMT time and then comparing to the ...

I have no idea what was in the mind of the guy who created that thread. It is probable he used this thread as a "blueprint" for some of the steps. But it is still very accurate of the lifetime of many threads. And it is funny. All I can say is ...

The real shame is it takes about 1 second to make a screenshot and another 30 seconds or so to post it. Ah yes, the fear of public failure can be very powerful.

Nice thread...but now you've gone too far. There are about 1000 groupies who are convinced they can do 70% a month also. There certainly needs to be an emphasis on step 2 where any negativism is swiftly dealt with by the groupies with a vengence. ...

See post #1 of this thread for the non-repainting version of TmaSlope. There is an option to normalize the values for other timeframes to M15. Although, I use a different normalizing calculation than others.

Unfortunately, I don't think your non-repainting version is correct. Run your indicator and the TMA/TmaSlope through a simulator and you will see the difference.

Actually, for USDCHF, it was below 0.5 until 0900 EST when it went above 0.5 for the first time today and has stayed there for the rest of the day. This is where the non-repainting version of TmaSlope is so superior because you can see what the ...

The TmaSlope indicator simply calculates the difference (in pips) between the value of the TMA Mid line and the previous value of the TMA Mid line. You all asked for a way to measure the slope of the TMA and that's what you got. The limit values ...
