I can't believe all the
nonsense I'm reading in this thread. The NFA restrictions and MT5 aren't part of a conspiracy. The NFA have imposed FIFO. This is incompatible with MT4, hence you end up with stupid restrictions like not being able to ...NEW MT5 Seriously Stuffed For Traders Platform

What a lot of nonsense there is in this thread. There isn't anything you can do in MT4 that you won't be able to do in MT5 (assuming Metaquotes have implemented it correctly). FIFO accounting cannot cost you money. Market buy with TP/SL is replaced ...

US brokers could offer "virtual hedging". You could have the convenience of an MT4 client working as it does now, but with FIFO accounting performed on the real account. Margin and swap could be calculated based on the real account. Regulators ...

Corporate payroll conversion - why is it always overlooked?

OK let's do some quick estimates. Exxon has about 100,000 employees. Let's say half need payroll converted from USD to EUR Let's assume Exxon for some reason has no Euros Let's say average wage is 30,000 EUR per year That's 50,000 x 30,000 = ...

I love these threads too. I'm interested in hearing that GS doesn't use a Buy-Low-Sell-High strategy. Please tell us more about how GS operates in the FX market.

Yes, but by that argument a change in price would count as a change in the market, which of course it is, but I don't think that is what the OP is asking about when talking about a "market change". Volatility has never been constant. Of course, ...

That's not a change in the market. That's just a change in volatility. Changing volatility is normal market behaviour.

Intraday refers to any timeframe less than daily(1 bar per day). It simply means that it shows what happened inside the day. Interday, if it existed, would show what happened between days, but since an FX day is 24hrs there is no interday period. ...

"Hedging" isn't a trading technique, it's an accounting practice. You can take your "hedging" strategies and execute the same trades using FIFO accounting and you will get the same results or better. I'm not in favour of extra regulation, but you ...
